BRICS New Development Bank Expands Cooperation with Bangladesh

According to the english section of the Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TV BRICS, Vladimir Kazbekov, Deputy Head of the new Development Bank (NDB), traveled to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, with the aim of expanding bilateral cooperation.
During his visit, Kazbekov met with Muhammad Yunus, Senior Advisor and Head of Bangladesh’s Interim Government. The two sides discussed various areas of collaboration and potential frameworks for financial participation.
Yunus welcomed NDB’s growing role in Bangladesh and emphasized the importance of international financial support for the country’s development path.
Kazbekov reiterated NDB’s readiness to invest in infrastructure projects and enduring development initiatives in Bangladesh. He stated that these projects would include clean energy, transportation, water supply, and digital infrastructure.
The New Development Bank has announced that it is indeed currently reviewing financing for projects aligned with both the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Bangladesh’s national priorities.
