SEC Chairman Officially Appointed
Head of U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Sworn In
According to the English section of the webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Reuters reported that Paul Atkins has been sworn in as the head of the U.S. securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The report states that Atkins, who previously served as an SEC commissioner from 2002 to 2008 and was known as a pro-business lawyer, took his oath as chairman of the commission on Monday.
Atkins was sworn in today as the 34th chairman of the SEC after being nominated by Donald Trump and confirmed by the Senate.
The declaration was made in a statement released by the commission.
