U.S.State Department Spokesperson Claims Reports of Washington Withdrawing from Ukraine Crisis Role Are Inaccurate
according to a report by the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Fox News stated that Tommy Bruce, spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, announced: “We are currently continuing to play a mediating role in the Ukraine war, but if no progress is made by the parties involved, we may adopt a different approach.”
He denied reports by some media outlets claiming that Washington has stepped back from its role in the Ukraine crisis.
Bruce further referenced statements by former President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio,stating: “They have emphasized that if negotiations between Ukraine and Russia fail to advance,the U.S. mediating role could change.”
he stressed that the United States has not yet reached a point where it would withdraw from its mediating role in the Ukraine issue.
