US-Supported Transfer of 250 ISIS Prisoners from Syria to Iraq Completed

A security source in Iraq’s Anbar province confirmed the transfer of 250 ISIS prisoners from Syria to Iraq under US military escort, with heightened security measures in place.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a security source in Iraq’s Anbar province reported that 250 ISIS prisoners were transported from Syria to Iraq yesterday under US military supervision. The prisoners, traveling in buses, entered through western Anbar and were relocated to the al-Jadaa camp in Nineveh province.

The source emphasized that US forces accompanied the convoy, with drones and fighter jets deployed along the route as a security precaution. The detainees hold Syrian citizenship as well as nationalities from 40 other countries, prompting unprecedented security measures by Iraqi forces in the area.

This follows previous reports of similar transfers of ISIS prisoners from Syria to Iraq under US oversight.
