Gaza Human Rights Group Warns of Systematic Efforts to Make Gaza Uninhabitable

The Gaza Human Rights Center has issued a stark warning, stating that the Israeli regime’s policies are systematically working to render the Gaza Strip uninhabitable, a move it characterizes as a clear violation of international law and a potential act of genocide.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Gaza Human Rights Center has announced that the Israeli regime’s policy of making the densely populated Gaza Strip uninhabitable is now actively underway.

The human rights organization issued a statement expressing grave concern over the consequences of the Israeli regime’s policies, which are transforming Gaza into an uninhabitable region. The center highlighted that the persistent targeting of essential infrastructure, humanitarian aid facilities, and the expansion of bombing campaigns against civilians in Gaza constitute clear instances of genocide under international law.

The center detailed that Israeli attacks, ongoing for over two years, have deliberately targeted aid organizations, humanitarian relief warehouses, emergency services, and medical personnel. These actions are considered a flagrant violation of the principles of distinction and proportionality enshrined in the 1949 Geneva Conventions.

The statement further indicated that field and legal pressures exerted against UNRWA represent an effort to undermine the primary pillar of services for approximately two million Palestinians. Preventing this agency’s operations is tantamount to collective punishment of displaced Palestinians.

The Gaza Human Rights Center emphasized that since the ceasefire on October 10, 2025, an average of only 259 trucks have entered Gaza daily, representing approximately 43 percent of the agreed-upon volume. The center identified the restriction on the entry of food, medicine, and fuel as a form of prohibited collective punishment against the region’s population, as stipulated by Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention.

The statement continued by noting that Gaza’s hospitals are on the verge of complete shutdown due to the prevention of generator and spare parts imports. Hundreds of patients in intensive care and neonatal units, relying on incubators, face severe risks.

The organization stressed that the closure of crossings, control over the entry of vital supplies, and the prevention of patients and the injured from leaving demonstrate the use of starvation policies and medical pressure as political tools.

The Gaza Human Rights Center has called upon the international community and the International Criminal Court to take immediate action to halt this process and expedite investigations and accountability measures.
