Hezbollah MP Urges Lebanese Officials to Reject Capitulation Amid Israeli Aggression

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Rami Abu Hamdan, a Member of Parliament in Lebanon affiliated with Hezbollah, has vehemently denounced the recent Zionist aggression against civilians in the residential area of Bekaa. Speaking on February 7, 2026, Abu Hamdan criticized Lebanese officials responsible for the security and sovereignty of the nation, stating that simply condemning the aggressions of the Zionist enemy yields no tangible results.
Abu Hamdan emphasized that the lives of the Lebanese people are not cheap and that the country’s officials must implement fundamental changes in their strategy for defending Lebanon. He further asserted that the ongoing events in Bekaa and southern Lebanon should not be normalized. The Hezbollah representative also called for the suspension of meetings by the ceasefire monitoring committee until the aggressions cease, stressing the need for swift and effective action from Lebanese sovereignty.
The MP highlighted that the government and ruling authorities must fulfill their duties without adopting a policy of capitulation, as such an approach only emboldens the enemy. He concluded by affirming that the Lebanese people, despite enduring pain and suffering, remain steadfast in their path of resistance.
