Thousands of ISIS Members Escape Syrian Camp Amid Security Collapse

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Wall Street Journal, citing U.S. intelligence, has reported that between 15,000 and 20,000 people, including ISIS elements, have fled the al-Hol camp in Syria and are now scattered throughout the country. U.S. officials speaking to the newspaper indicated that security at the al-Hol camp has been disrupted following the withdrawal of Syrian Democratic Forces and the entry of elements associated with the Golani regime. Earlier, the Financial Times had also reported that thousands of prisoners had successfully escaped from al-Hol camp and made their way to Iraq and Turkey, with the identities of those supporting these escapes remaining unclear. This development comes as Syrian sources had previously reported that hundreds of family members of ISIS elements had escaped from the al-Hol camp under the watch of U.S. military forces.
