Pope Calls for Peace and Dialogue Amidst Escalating Regional Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, citing reports from the Mehr News Agency and Reuters, Pope Leo XIV, the spiritual leader of the world’s Catholics, issued a strong call for peace and stability on Sunday, the ninth day of the United States and the Zionist regime’s aggression on Iranian territory. He criticized the ongoing conflict and emphasized the urgent need for dialogue to prevent further hostilities, particularly highlighting concerns for Lebanon.
The Pontiff stressed the immediate necessity to halt the escalating violence and foster greater dialogue among nations. He expressed growing concern that the conflict could expand, plunging other regional countries, such as Lebanon, back into a state of instability amid widespread violence, destruction, hatred, and fear.
