Israel Creates Unprecedented Obstacles to Humanitarian Aid Entry into Gaza, UN Told

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, speaking at the United Nations Security Council, Atina Raybourn, Executive Director of the Association of International Development Agencies, revealed shocking details of Israeli obstruction to the entry of critical aid into the Gaza Strip. Raybourn stated that Israel is blocking essential equipment, including scissors, crutches, wheelchairs, and prosthetic limbs, from entering Gaza under the pretext of “dual-use materials.” This policy is part of Israel’s restrictive measures against the Palestinian territory. Raybourn further highlighted that Israeli authorities are not only preventing the entry of medical specialists but also imposing severe restrictions on basic goods such as motor oil, leading to a 45-fold increase in its price on the Gaza market. The restrictions extend to simple food items like watermelons and onions. Raybourn also detailed systematic Israeli actions to cripple aid delivery, including the cancellation of registrations for over 30 international relief organizations. She noted that by constantly shifting “red lines,” access to at least 85 vital points, including schools, clinics, and water sources, has been restricted.
