Qatar Amir and Oman Sultan Call for Regional De-escalation, Discuss Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Qatari Amiri Diwan announced that the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, spoke with the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tarik, by phone. During their conversation, regional developments and tensions were reviewed.
The Qatari Amiri Diwan added that the Amir of Qatar and the Sultan of Oman stressed the importance of de-escalating tensions and prioritizing dialogue and diplomatic tools to bolster security and stability in the region.
During the call, the Amir of Qatar conveyed his sincerest condolences and sympathy to the Sultan of Oman and the ruling family on the passing of Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, the Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, who died on Thursday.
The Amir of Qatar also offered condolences for the deaths of two individuals in an incident involving the crash of two drones in the Sahar Governorate, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
The Sultanate of Oman had previously announced that two people were killed following the crash of two drones in the Sahar Governorate.
The text also references an alleged attack by the United States and the Zionist regime on Iran, which occurred amidst negotiations with Tehran mediated by a regional country. Iran, in defense of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, reportedly considered American positions and bases located in the countries of the Persian Gulf, as well as occupied territories, as legitimate targets and launched missile strikes.
