Russia Warns Against Wider Regional Conflict Over Attacks on Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s Foreign Ministry announced that a reckless assault on Iran’s port of Anzali, framed as part of U.S. and Israeli operations against the country, is perceived as a threat that could draw Caspian Sea nations into the current conflict. The ministry emphasized that the U.S.-Israeli coalition continues to escalate the war ignited in the Middle East. This attack has inflicted damage on the economic interests of Russia and other Caspian Sea littoral states. Russia is monitoring these developments with significant concern.

The Russian Foreign Ministry further stated that Moscow urgently calls for an immediate cessation of military operations in the Middle East and a resumption of efforts toward achieving a political settlement.
