China Vows Full Diplomatic Effort to Halt Middle East Conflict

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, China is committing its full efforts to halt the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, with its special envoy for the region criticizing recent military actions by the United States and the Israeli regime. The diplomat urged an immediate end to the clashes and stressed the importance of maintaining regional stability.
Zhai Jun, China’s special envoy for Middle East affairs, described the aggressions by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran as a ‘blatant violation of the principles of the United Nations and international law.’ He emphasized that these actions were undertaken without the authorization of the UN Security Council and are legally unacceptable.
The Chinese special representative further warned that the continuation of the war would undermine regional stability and security, with repercussions negatively impacting global economic security. He highlighted the necessity of adhering to humanitarian principles, calling for the protection of civilians and the avoidance of targeting energy facilities. He also underscored the significance of maintaining the security of the Strait of Hormuz as a vital international shipping route.
Zhai Jun added that the Middle East region has experienced sufficient instability and that further escalation of the crisis must be prevented through dialogue and negotiation. He also noted that regional countries have expressed concerns regarding the consequences of the war and have issued warnings about vital infrastructure being targeted.
The Chinese official concluded by stating that Beijing will continue its consultations with all parties and will not cease its diplomatic efforts until the conflict stops. China is also working to ensure the unimpeded passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz.
