Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reportedly contacted former President Donald Trump, urging him to maintain military action against Iran, believing it presents a historic opportunity to reshape the Middle East. The New York Times cited informed sources indicating the Prince emphasized the need to eliminate Iranian sovereignty.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the New York Times, citing individuals identified as informed sources, reported that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman contacted former President Donald Trump via telephone and requested the continuation of the war against Iran.

The New York Times further stated that the Crown Prince believes a military strike by the United States and Israel represents a historic opportunity to reshape the Middle East.

The American newspaper detailed that over several conversations last week, Mohammed bin Salman conveyed to Trump the necessity of pursuing the objective of destroying Iranian sovereignty.

The New York Times reported that the Crown Prince believes the long-term threat posed by Iran to the Persian Gulf can only be resolved by completely eliminating its sovereignty.

The New York Times report emerges as Seyed Abbas Araghchi, head of the diplomatic apparatus of the Islamic Republic of Iran, had previously called on some regional rulers to provide a clear response to media reports alleging their encouragement of the United States to wage war against Iran.
