Pakistan’s Foreign Minister to Meet U.S. Counterpart in Washington

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan‘s Foreign Ministry has announced an upcoming meeting between its foreign minister and his American counterpart, alongside the U.S. National Security Advisor. The discussions are expected to focus on bilateral ties and regional issues.
Earlier reports indicated that Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Ishaaq Dar, would meet with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington on Friday. This engagement takes place amid Islamabad’s efforts to facilitate a peace pact between Tehran and Washington aimed at achieving a permanent cessation of hostilities.
The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a release that the foreign ministers’ talks would center on “reviewing bilateral relations and exchanging views on regional and global developments.” Pakistan has expressed its desire for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict between the United States and Iran, while also warning of the dangers of escalating tensions to regional peace.
