Russian Military Liberates Four More Settlements in Ukraine

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense has reported further advances by its armed forces. The settlements of Lesnoye and Novopodgorodenoe in the Dnipropetrovsk region, along with Budarki and Karaychenoe in the Kharkiv region, have been liberated by Russian forces.
The ministry also disclosed that over the past week, Russian forces successfully destroyed three cruise missiles, three SCALP missiles, and 2628 Ukrainian drones. These actions highlight the continuing intensity of the conflict and the ongoing air defense efforts.
President Vladimir Putin of Russia recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics in the Donbas region on February 21, 2022, citing Western disregard for Moscow’s security concerns. Three days later, on February 24, 2022, President Putin initiated what he termed a “special military operation” against Ukraine, escalating the already strained relations between Moscow and Kyiv into a full-scale military confrontation.
In response to Russia’s actions, the United States and Western nations have imposed extensive sanctions on Moscow and have provided billions of dollars in armaments and military equipment to Kyiv.
