Nearly three million Cubans are grappling with a critical water shortage due to a severe deficit in oil supply, a situation exacerbated by the ongoing U.S. blockade. Associated Press reported that the sanctions imposed by the United States have resulted in Cuba’s water supply system receiving only 37 percent of the fuel it requires.

The U.S. has implemented a maritime blockade against Cuba, ostensibly aiming to compel Havana to surrender to Washington’s expansive demands.
