Lebanese Resistance Inflicts Heavy Losses on Israeli Forces Near Litani River

Israeli forces have reached the Litani River in southern Lebanon through the narrowest routes after three months of intense conflict, failing to gain full control of key villages. The Lebanese resistance continues to engage enemy elements, inflicting significant blows despite scorched-earth tactics employed by the occupation forces.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, informed sources speaking to Al Mayadeen have confirmed that Israeli forces, after three months of warfare, have reached the Litani River via the narrowest paths without achieving control over the eastern Zawtar and Yahmar areas. These sources indicated that what the Israeli occupation forces are presenting as a field achievement, namely their forces reaching the Litani River, is merely a limited advance achieved after nearly three months of intense fighting and the implementation of a scorched-earth policy.

The sources elaborated that the Israelis selected the geographically narrowest routes closest to the Lebanese and occupied Palestinian borders to reach the Litani River. Resistance forces have been heavily engaged with the occupation forces over the past three months along the axes of Al Adaysah, Kfar Kila, and Rab Thalathīn villages, inflicting severe blows upon them. This engagement occurred even as the Israeli army had deployed its special forces, including the Golani Brigade, to the region.

The aforementioned sources specified that Israeli soldiers adopted a scorched-earth policy throughout their advance, destroying the entire residential area overlooking the Litani River with a large volume of attacks and creating fire belts. The occupation forces employ this same policy in every attempt to advance to avoid direct confrontation with the resistance. They remain under the fire of the resistance forces in the rear lines and border positions and have not yet been able to fully establish themselves in any area they have entered.

Israeli forces have not yet managed to occupy eastern Zawtar and Yahmar, remaining in their southern outskirts. Meanwhile, the resistance continues to be engaged in intense battles with enemy elements in the region.
