Israeli Finance Minister Acknowledges Heavy Cost of War with Hezbollah, Declares it Necessary

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has admitted that the cost of conflict with Hezbollah is substantial, but emphasized its necessity for the security of the Israeli entity. This comes amid ongoing military operations and acknowledgments of Hezbollah’s persistent capabilities.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Bezalel Smotrich, the Finance Minister of the Israeli entity, has acknowledged that the cost of engaging in a war with Hezbollah is significant, yet he asserted that such a conflict is indispensable for their security.

Smotrich referenced claims made by the Israeli military regarding advances in the Qla’at ash Shaqif area. However, Channel 12 television in the Israeli entity reported that even if the Israeli army continues its current course of action in Lebanon for an extended period, it will not lead to the destruction of Hezbollah.

Earlier reports from the Israeli army radio also acknowledged an incident where a drone belonging to Hezbollah forces targeted elements of the Givati Brigade. This specific attack was noted as particularly concerning because it occurred at night, indicating Hezbollah’s capability to strike Israeli soldiers with suicide drones even during dark hours.
