Egypt Demands Full Israeli Withdrawal from Lebanon, Citing International Law
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, stressed the necessity of the complete withdrawal of the Zionist regime from all Lebanese lands on Sunday. He noted that any aggression against Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity would be considered a clear violation of international law and United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
During a phone call with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, Abdelatty discussed the ongoing developments in Lebanon and strategies to confront emerging challenges.
Tamim Khalaf, spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Abdelatty reaffirmed Cairo’s full solidarity with Lebanon amidst the current sensitive circumstances and reiterated support for its security and stability.
