Iran Strikes 20 U.S. Bases in Region, Boosting Attack Precision

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, BBC International’s verification section, in a report based on the analysis of satellite imagery and verified videos, has stated that Iran has inflicted damage on 20 U.S. military bases in the region since the onset of the war. This suggests the scope of attacks is broader than officially announced.
The report details that since late February, Iran has targeted locations in eight West Asian countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Bahrain, and Oman. Significant damage has been reported to advanced air defense systems, refueling aircraft, and radar installations. Among the most critical losses, three advanced THAAD missile defense systems in the UAE and Jordan have been impacted. Each of these systems is valued at approximately one billion dollars and would be difficult and time-consuming to replace.
Furthermore, reports indicate that at the King Abdulaziz Air Base in Saudi Arabia, reconnaissance and refueling aircraft, including an AWACS plane valued at up to $700 million for replacement, sustained damage. In Kuwait, the Ali Al Salem Air Base and Camp Arifjan were also targeted, with infrastructure such as fuel depots, aircraft hangars, and communication equipment reportedly destroyed.
BBC noted that Iran has adapted its tactics throughout the war, shifting from initial large-scale assaults to more precise and targeted strikes. Analysts suggest this evolution has led to increased attack effectiveness. Conversely, some American experts believe the U.S. military exhibited a degree of negligence in the early stages of the conflict regarding the transfer and protection of its equipment.
