Trump, Netanyahu Engage in Tense Call Amidst Regional Escalation

A recent phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu marked one of their most contentious discussions since Trump’s return to power, according to Axios. The conversation occurred as regional tensions intensified and Israel threatened strikes in Beirut.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a recent phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was one of their most tense and difficult conversations since Trump returned to power, reported Axios, citing an informed official and sourced from Al Jazeera.

The official did not provide further details regarding the specific points of contention or the content of the call but characterized it as one of the worst interactions Trump has had with the Prime Minister of the Israeli regime during Trump’s current presidential term.

Axios, quoting its sources, reported that a memorandum being negotiated between the United States and Iran calls for an end to hostilities in Lebanon.

President Trump announced Monday evening via a post on Truth Social, “I had a very constructive phone call with Netanyahu. Netanyahu assured me that no forces would be sent to Beirut and any forces that were on the way have been turned back.”

The U.S. President further claimed, “I also had a very good phone call with Hezbollah, through high-level representatives, and they have agreed to a complete ceasefire. Israel will not attack Hezbollah, and Hezbollah will not attack Israel.”

He then asserted, “A ceasefire agreement has been reached in Lebanon. Negotiations with Iran are continuing at a faster pace! Netanyahu will not send any forces to Beirut.”

This dialogue took place against the backdrop of escalating tensions in the region and the Israeli regime’s threats to attack the southern suburbs of Beirut.
