Turkish Politician: Alliance with Iran Crucial for West Asia Balance

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Dough Perincek, a Turkish politician and leader of the Motherland Party, stated that an alliance between Turkey, Russia, China, and Iran is essential for curbing security threats and preserving the balance of power in West Asia. He made these remarks based on data published by the Mehr News Agency, citing RIA Novosti.
Perincek highlighted that Turkey faces escalating pressures in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Aegean Sea, and around Cyprus. He noted the growing military presence of the United States, Israel, Greece, and their allies in the region, asserting that Ankara must therefore bolster its defensive capabilities.
Bilateral relations between Iran and Turkey have consistently shown development, with both Islamic nations acting as proponents for Palestine and unity within the Muslim world.
