Slovenia Denies Landing to Israeli Charter Flight

Slovenian authorities have refused landing permission to a charter flight leased by Israeli company Israir, forcing the aircraft to divert to Croatia. The Israeli airline’s CEO described the action as politically motivated.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli media reported on Wednesday that Slovenia prevented a plane chartered by the Israeli company Israir from landing due to a lack of necessary permits. The Israeli Kan news outlet reported that after Slovenian officials denied the aircraft permission to land, its route was altered towards Croatia. Yury Sikris, CEO of Israir, claimed the decision was ‘political’.
