U.S. Sanctions Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel and Four Other Officials

The U.S. Treasury Department has added Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel and four other Cuban individuals to its sanctions list, according to reports from Mehr News Agency. This move follows President Donald Trump’s recent statements indicating a focus on Cuba after concluding matters in Iran.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. Treasury Department has announced sanctions against Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel and four other individuals within the country. The list of sanctioned individuals also includes Alejandro Castro Espín, the son of former Cuban President Raúl Castro.
President Donald Trump had previously stated that after addressing issues in Iran, his administration would turn its attention to Cuba.
