France Launches Investigation into Israeli Military Actions and War Crimes Allegations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, France‘s National Counter-Terrorism Office announced on Friday that it has begun an investigation into the torture of “Samoud” flotilla activists by Israeli forces and war crimes allegedly committed by Israeli Minister of Internal Security Itamar Ben-Gvir. This probe is being conducted by France’s Central Office for the Fight against Crimes against Humanity.
The investigation was prompted after a video emerged showing Ben-Gvir’s aggressive conduct towards the passengers of the “Samoud” flotilla. Subsequently, the French Minister of Foreign Affairs submitted a report to the country’s Chief Prosecutor’s Office.
Revelations from several participants of the Global “Samoud” Flotilla have led to serious accusations against the Israeli regime. These disclosures highlight human rights violations, including torture and sexual harassment, following the seizure of boats en route to the Gaza Strip in international waters and the subsequent detention of their occupants.
European activists interviewed by Al Jazeera Mubasher provided details of their experience in an Israeli floating prison. They asserted that in addition to physical and psychological abuse, they were subjected to beatings, forced nudity, and deprivation of water, food, and sleep over several days.
