Former U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that “lots of oil is leaving” the Strait of Hormuz, asserting that American naval blockades against Iran have been highly effective. Trump posted his claims on the social media platform “Truth Social,” exaggerating the impact of the sanctions he imposed.
Trump wrote, “Fake News refuses to report on how effective the United States naval blockade has been, the most successful blockade in history of naval warfare. Nothing gets out unless we allow it to. It is a Solid Wall!”
He further alleged that Iran has no trade, does not fund its military, and is quickly becoming a failed state. “Lots of oil is leaving. Thank God!” he added.
