Hamas Celebrates Release of Sheikh Hassan Yousef from Israeli Prisons
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas has celebrated the release of Sheikh Hassan Yousef from Israeli prisons. Palestinian Information Center reports indicate that Sheikh Hassan Yousef has been freed after spending more than two and a half years in Israeli administrative detention.
The movement lauded Sheikh Hassan Yousef’s resilience and perseverance, describing him as a national figure, an inspiration, and a symbol of patience and steadfastness. He has reportedly spent over two decades of his life in the prisons of the occupying regime.
Sheikh Yousef has spent more than 20 years in the prisons of the occupiers, enduring frequent arrests and lengthy administrative detention orders. His imprisonment has been a consistent effort by the occupying regime to sideline him from the political and public arena.
Hamas further stated that during his captivity, Sheikh Hassan Yousef remained steadfast in his positions and defended the rights of the Palestinian people, despite facing solitary confinement, torture, and medical neglect.
The movement reiterated its commitment to supporting Palestinian prisoners, emphasizing that they continue to face suppression, torture, and deprivation within the prisons of the occupying regime.
Hamas asserted that the issue of prisoners will remain a top priority for the movement until their liberation is achieved and the prisons of the occupying regime are emptied of all Palestinian detainees.
The group also called for strengthening all forms of support for the Palestinian prisoners’ cause, stressing the necessity of keeping this issue alive in the conscience of the Islamic Ummah and free-thinkers worldwide.
Hamas concluded by urging international legal and human rights organizations to intensify their efforts to support the prisoners, expose the crimes and rights violations they face in Israeli prisons, and take serious action to end their suffering and secure their release.
