Lebanese Economy Suffers $20 Billion in Damages from Israeli Attacks, Minister Reports

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese Minister of Economy Amer Al-Bsat emphasized on the previous day that the displacement of Lebanese people due to attacks by the Zionist regime has placed a heavy economic burden on the country. He added that the displacement of Lebanese citizens costs the government at least $90 million per month. The country’s economy has suffered severe blows due to the conflict.
Al-Bsat stated that the destruction resulting from Zionist regime attacks on southern Lebanon has caused damages valued at $20 billion. Other negative impacts arising from these attacks include increased unemployment and the closure of companies and factories. He clarified that 28 percent of agricultural production has halted, and the tourism sector has incurred $2 billion in damages, pushing Lebanon’s economy back to square one.
