Saudi Arabia, Pakistan Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Developments, Iran-US Agreement

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, engaged in discussions with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, regarding the latest regional developments and ongoing mediation efforts. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the two ministers reviewed the current situation and the efforts being made to achieve a breakthrough.
SPA referenced Pakistan’s ongoing mediation attempts, which have been underway for several weeks, aimed at reaching a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States. Earlier, Muhammad Ishaq Dar had also held a phone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, concerning the potential agreement between Iran and the United States.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, had recently commented on the situation regarding Iran. He expressed his outlook, stating, “We are closer to a peace agreement than ever before, and it will likely be finalized within 24 hours. We are preparing for an electronic signing ceremony of the peace agreement between the United States and Iran as soon as it is finalized.” Sharif added that the US and Iran have agreed on a framework for a peace deal that would conclude months of conflict in the Middle East, and that Iran and the US have reached the final text of the peace agreement.
Furthermore, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar also held a phone conversation today, Saturday, with the Swiss Foreign Minister. He welcomed the commendable progress towards an understanding between Iran and the United States, expressing hope that these efforts would contribute to regional peace and stability.
