Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri: Iran-US Agreement Protects Lebanese Sovereignty

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, has emphasized that an agreement between Iran and the United States serves to protect Lebanon‘s sovereignty. Berri conveyed his appreciation for the efforts of all parties involved, including Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, in reaching this understanding, as well as for Tehran and Washington’s inclusion of a clause pertaining to the cessation of Israeli regime aggressions against all of Lebanon.

He further elaborated that this agreement strengthens the foundations of security and stability in the region, including within Lebanon.

Berri specified that the clause regarding the halting of Israeli regime aggressions against Lebanon preserves the country’s sovereignty and does not conflict with Lebanon’s national decision-making independence.
