Israel Vows Continued Military Presence in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza Amid Regional Tensions

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has stated that the Israeli army will maintain its security presence in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza, dismissing any notion of withdrawal despite ongoing regional uncertainties.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant declared that the Israeli army will not withdraw from security zones in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza. This statement follows the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States, with Israel yet to formally comment on that specific accord.

Gallant emphasized that both he and Prime Minister Netanyahu have adopted a clear policy under which the military will remain in these areas. He explicitly rejected any possibility of Israeli army withdrawal from Lebanon, irrespective of current or future pressures.

The Israeli Defense Minister further asserted that if Iran retaliates against Israeli territory for attacks on Lebanon, Israel will respond with full force. Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that the state of emergency on the home front has been extended until June 30 due to uncertainties regarding Lebanon and Iran.

Channel 15 television, citing Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, reported that the army is closely monitoring developments and maintaining a high level of alertness and readiness across all fronts. Zamir identified Lebanon as the primary focus but indicated preparations for developments on other fronts as well.

In parallel, the Israeli army announced the lifting of restrictions on public gatherings, though limitations will persist in northern areas along the Lebanese border.
