EU Calls for Swift Implementation of Iran-US Agreement, Urges Free Passage Through Strait of Hormuz

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Kaja Kallas, the European Union‘s foreign policy chief, stated that the agreement between Tehran and Washington could be considered a significant development. Ministers of foreign affairs for the EU are set to discuss potential avenues for participation in the subsequent stages of this process.
Kallas reiterated the EU’s call for all parties to respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, urging the implementation of a genuine ceasefire. “The swift and complete execution of the provisions of this agreement is a priority,” Kallas stated, adding that the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz must be permitted.
Furthermore, she asserted that freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz should be restored without the imposition of any tolls. This issue is deemed crucial for regional stability and the global economy. The agreement is seen as a pathway to broader negotiations concerning peace and security in the region. Earlier, various nations worldwide had welcomed the accord.
