Lebanese Figures Welcome Iran-U.S. Agreement on Regional Ceasefire

Lebanese parliamentary and political figures have voiced optimism regarding a recent agreement between Iran and the United States aimed at establishing a ceasefire in the region, including Lebanon. They anticipate the deal will foster stability and de-escalate tensions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese parliamentary and political circles have welcomed a recent agreement between Iran and the United States concerning regional developments. The accord is seen as a significant step towards achieving a ceasefire and promoting stability in Lebanon and the wider Middle East.

Tony Frangieh, a member of the Lebanese Parliament, expressed his approval of the agreement, stating that it is commendable for various parties, including Arab nations and those bordering the Persian Gulf, Iran, and the United States, to cooperate in achieving a ceasefire in the region and specifically in Lebanon. He conveyed his hope that this agreement will serve as a starting point for lasting peace, prosperity, and stability.

Furthermore, Bilal Taqi El-Din, the head of the Lebanese National Accord Party, commented that the Iran-U.S. agreement has the potential to pave the way for understanding within Lebanon, particularly concerning ceasefire arrangements on the southern front. He added that this agreement is expected to contribute to the reduction of regional tensions, with a definite impact on the internal situation in Lebanon.

Taqi El-Din also noted that the accord could help create a more stable environment and potentially open avenues for domestic agreements that would aid in overcoming divisions within the ruling political class.
