Egyptian President and UAE Leader Welcome Strait of Hormuz Opening

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed met in Cairo on Monday, expressing support for a ceasefire with Iran and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed held discussions in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Monday. The meeting, as reported by Anatolia News Agency via MNA, focused on regional developments and bilateral relations.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed emphasized his keenness for ongoing consultations with the Egyptian President regarding the latest developments in bilateral relations and regional affairs. Both leaders welcomed an agreement to halt hostilities with Iran and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. They also exchanged views on a number of regional issues of mutual concern.

President el-Sisi and President bin Zayed underscored the importance of continued coordination of Arab nations’ stances to preserve regional security.
