US Military Contradicts President’s Order on Iran Port Blockade

The U.S. military has issued a statement asserting that the blockade of Iranian ports remains in effect until a ceasefire agreement is finalized, contradicting President Biden’s earlier directive for an immediate end to the maritime restrictions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. military has published a memorandum claiming that the blockade of Iranian ports by the nation’s military forces will persist until a ceasefire agreement with Iran, slated for signing on June 19th, is fully concluded. This assertion attempts to obscure perceived failures by the Pentagon against Iran.

The military’s statement asserts: “The military blockade of Iranian ports, which restricts all inbound and outbound traffic from these ports, remains in place.” This comes despite previous statements from the President of the United States indicating that he had ordered the American blockade of Iranian ports to cease swiftly.

Earlier, the Secretariat of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council announced in a statement regarding the ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States that, based on the agreed-upon terms, the war and military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, have ended immediately and permanently as of tonight. Furthermore, the maritime blockade against Iran will be concluded immediately and entirely.
