Macron Hails US-Iran Understanding as Crucial Step for Global Peace

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, French President Emmanuel Macron stated on Sunday during a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in Paris that President Trump’s participation in the Group of Seven (G7) summit is significant following an agreement with Iran. Macron asserted that the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran represents an important step towards global peace.

The French President further elaborated that the signing of this accord between the U.S. and Iran is crucial for addressing the nuclear issue, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and guaranteeing peace in Lebanon. He also indicated that discussions would be held with President Trump regarding the war in Ukraine with the aim of negotiating lasting peace.

Emmanuel Macron added that efforts are underway within the framework of the G7 to foster cooperation across various fields.

This meeting precedes President Donald Trump’s scheduled participation in the G7 summit in France.
