UK to Provide Enriched Uranium to Ukraine for Nuclear Power Support

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The United Kingdom‘s Prime Minister’s office has confirmed the country’s intention to provide Ukraine with enriched uranium. London has stated that the rationale behind this action is to bolster support for Ukraine’s nuclear power facilities.

The initiative by the UK to supply enriched uranium to Ukraine is projected to cost approximately $280 million over a two-year period.

This development follows earlier claims made in February by the press office of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, which alleged that the UK and France were considering supplying nuclear weapons to Ukraine.

Furthermore, in November 2023, Nikolay Patrushev, a prominent official from Russia’s Security Council at the time, highlighted concerns about rising radiation levels observed by European nations. These levels were reportedly a consequence of attacks targeting Ukrainian uranium storage facilities, actions allegedly taken to prevent Russian access to these sites.
