Israel’s Potential Lebanon Withdrawal Under Review in U.S.

Israel’s potential withdrawal from certain positions in Lebanon will be discussed in the United States next week during a meeting with a Lebanese delegation. This follows reports from Israeli media citing the Israeli army, which indicates the matter is under review.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli media outlets, citing the Israeli army, have reported that the issue of Israel’s withdrawal from some positions in Lebanon will be examined in the United States. The matter is scheduled to be discussed in Washington with a Lebanese delegation in the coming week.

An operational map provided by the Israeli army reportedly shows Israeli forces present in the Al-Taher heights and Kfar Tibnit, near Nabatieh. The Israeli military has further stated that its forces are concentrated in their operational areas in southern Lebanon.

These developments come as an advisor to the Israeli Prime Minister asserted that the regime does not consider itself bound by the clause concerning Lebanon in the Iran-U.S. memorandum of understanding. The advisor added that Israel will not withdraw from southern Lebanon until Hezbollah is disarmed.
