Netanyahu Vows No Withdrawal from Southern Lebanon, Citing Security Needs

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that his government has no intention of withdrawing from southern Lebanon, citing paramount security interests and ongoing relationships with American friends. “We have more challenges ahead that we must address to secure our interests and our relations with American friends,” Netanyahu stated.
He further claimed that the return of security to the northern areas necessitates maintaining control over the security zone in Lebanon, emphasizing, “We must not withdraw from this area. We will remain in this area as long as necessary and will not withdraw.”
Previous reports indicated efforts by Netanyahu to impede potential agreements between Iran and the United States aimed at halting hostilities in Lebanon.
The so-called security zone refers to the southern Lebanese region bordering occupied Palestine, where the Israeli army has occupied numerous areas in addition to five specific points during the recent conflict.
