Iran-US Technical Talks Scheduled for Sunday in Switzerland Amid Regional Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Saturday, that technical talks between Iran and the United States will be held tomorrow, Sunday, in Bürgenstock, Switzerland. This information was released in a statement, referencing data published by the Mehr News Agency, which in turn cited Xinhua News Agency.
Earlier, Bern had announced that diplomats from several countries convened today at a Swiss resort in an effort to sustain dialogue regarding an initial understanding between the United States and Iran to cease fighting in West Asia. The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs stated that diplomats were engaged in discussions at the Bürgenstock mountain resort near Lucerne in central Switzerland, without providing further details.
A well-informed diplomatic source informed Agence France-Presse that the discussions held on Saturday were preliminary in nature. High-level negotiations at the hotel complex were initially scheduled for Friday. However, these talks were canceled due to the ongoing Israeli regime’s aggression in southern Lebanon, alongside violations of the ceasefire.
RTS claimed that technical delegations from the United States and Iran, as well as mediators from Qatar and Pakistan, were present at these negotiations.
