Trump Aide Predicts Swiss Visit Amid Iran Talks, Cites Progress

A senior aide to U.S. President Donald Trump has indicated an expectation to travel to Switzerland within two days, stating that negotiations with Iran are progressing positively. This comes as U.S. negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are reportedly in Switzerland for consultations.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Vice Presidential aide J.D. Vance announced that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, American negotiators involved in regional discussions, have arrived in Switzerland for consultations with Iran. Vance asserted that the negotiation climate with Iran is “progressing well” and expressed his anticipation of arriving in Switzerland within the next 48 hours.

CNN reported that the specific individuals Donald Trump‘s envoys will meet in Switzerland remains unclear. Vance further commented that representatives from Pakistan and Qatar are also expected to arrive in the country.

Earlier this weekend, Bern announced that diplomats from several nations convened at a Swiss resort to sustain dialogue concerning an initial understanding between the United States and Iran aimed at de-escalating conflict in West Asia. The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed that diplomats were engaged in discussions at the Bürgenstock mountain resort near Lucerne, in central Switzerland, without divulging further specifics.

The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Saturday indicating that technical negotiations between Iran and the United States are scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Bürgenstock resort in Switzerland.
