Swiss Foreign Minister Highlights Reliable Relations with US and Iran Amidst Negotiations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis stated on Sunday that Switzerland has cultivated dependable relations with both the United States and Iran. Cassis revealed that he had exchanged views with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Jake Sullivan concerning the ongoing negotiations for the implementation of a US-Iran memorandum of understanding.
The Swiss Foreign Minister emphasized that the commencement of these talks represents a crucial initial step. He reiterated Switzerland’s commitment to maintaining reliable relationships with both the American and Iranian parties involved in the process.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif had met with his Swiss counterpart, Ignazio Cassis, during the Iranian delegation’s first official program in Switzerland.
The delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and accompanied by Mostafa Minab, arrived in Zurich on Saturday evening local time. Their participation is focused on the proceedings at Bürgenstock concerning the implementation of the Iran-US memorandum of understanding.
