Hezbollah’s Naeem Qassem Affirms Support for Taif Agreement
Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary-General, Sheikh Naeem Qassem, has reiterated the party’s support for the Taif Agreement and the constitution, emphasizing Hezbollah’s significant experience in interacting with various political entities. He also criticized those who claim patriotism while resorting to violence to eliminate others.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Sheikh Naeem Qassem, the Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, stated during an Ashura ceremony that the party supports the Taif Agreement and the constitution. He highlighted Hezbollah’s experience as a key example of engagement with other groups.
Qassem further remarked that some individuals in Lebanon who profess patriotism have engaged in mass killings to eliminate opposing factions. The statement underscores Hezbollah’s commitment to established political frameworks while also criticizing internal political violence.
