Seven European Nations Urge De-escalation in Sudan, Citing Foreign Interference

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, seven European nations announced on Tuesday that they are urging all parties involved in the Sudan conflict to reduce hostilities, citing the dire humanitarian situation affecting the population. The joint statement emphasized that foreign support continues to fuel the conflict.
The European countries implored those contributing to the ongoing fighting to cease their involvement and instead aid in restoring peace and stability to Sudan. Since October 2025, the regions of North, West, and South Kordofan have been the epicenter of intense clashes between the Sudanese Army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The conflict between the RSF and the Sudanese Army began in April 2023, stemming from disputes over the integration of the RSF into the military structure. This prolonged engagement has led to widespread famine, contributing to one of the world’s most severe humanitarian crises. The violence has resulted in tens of thousands of Sudanese casualties and the displacement of approximately 13 million people.
