Iran-US Talks Unveiled: Tehran Cites Trump Threats, Secures 15-Day Calm

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data published by the Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera of Qatar, indicates that following President Trump’s public threats against Iran of military action if regional support continued, the Iranian delegation, led by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, deemed these actions a blatant violation of existing understandings. The delegation underscored its stance of distrust towards threatening approaches.

The report suggests that despite American efforts to normalize these threats, Iran’s negotiating team, through intelligent management of the tension, succeeded in obtaining a 15-day period of calm.

Furthermore, in the technical aspects of the negotiations, Iran managed to prevent U.S. pressure to link issues related to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to nuclear agreements. The American side, however, continues to insist on maintaining the IAEA’s role as a separate and independent channel.
