Pakistan Outlines Key Focus Areas for Iran-US Nuclear and Economic Talks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data released by the Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, indicates that Pakistani Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar has detailed the current priorities in discussions between Iran and the United States. Dar specified that the negotiations are focused on Iran’s nuclear program, its blocked financial assets, and the developments in Lebanon.
The Pakistani Foreign Minister further asserted that no transit fees or permits would be imposed for passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier, a statement from the spokesperson of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the dialogues between the U.S. and Iran had significant takeaways. Pakistan and Qatar, acting as mediating nations, will follow up on the execution of the agreed-upon terms. This agreement has established a direct communication channel between Tehran and Washington to preempt potential issues. Pakistan affirmed its ongoing engagement with friendly nations that have effectively supported the Iran-U.S. negotiations, maintaining contact with both American and Iranian teams to ensure the effective implementation of the memorandum of understanding. Technical negotiations at the expert level are set to resume next week, facilitated by Pakistan and Qatar.
