Italian PM Meloni Denies Nation’s Involvement in War Against Iran

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has firmly stated that Italy has not participated in any war against Iran, offering only technical and logistical support. This comes as the Foreign Minister refuted claims of Italian military bases being used for operations against the Islamic Republic.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni emphasized that Italy has absolutely no involvement in any war against Iran, providing only technical and logistical support.

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani engaged in a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, on Thursday afternoon. During this call, the Italian Foreign Minister categorically rejected recent statements by the NATO Secretary General regarding the United States utilizing Italian military bases for military operations against Iran.

Tajani further asserted that no military bases in Italy have been used for attacks against Iran, nor will such actions be permitted in the future. He clarified that American aircraft have not departed from Italian soil to bomb Iran, and the Italian government has never issued authorization for such operations.
