Trump Claims Iran to Become New Market for U.S. Agricultural Products

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed on Thursday evening local time during a dinner with American farmers at the White House Rose Garden that Iran will be a new market for U.S. agricultural products, asserting that “wheat, soy, and corn, in large quantities,” will be sold to Iran.
The U.S. President, reportedly seeking an agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran due to the economic repercussions of his administration’s actions against the country, alleged: “Iran desperately wants an agreement with us, and we will probably achieve this agreement.”
Addressing the American farmers, Trump asserted: “We will have a new market, and that is the lovely country of Iran. Iran is a beautiful place. Does anyone want to go there?”
The U.S. President further claimed: “They are struggling with food shortages, and we will take some of their money and spend it on buying large amounts of wheat, soy, and corn from American farmers. This process will begin soon. This will be a very big event.”
This assertion from the U.S. President comes as Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson recently stated in a press conference that Iran will decide on its released assets in a manner that is beneficial to the country. Regarding the purchase of goods, the Ministry of Agriculture and other relevant authorities will make decisions based on price and quality, with no restrictions in this regard.
