Iranian Oil Tanker Crew Freed by U.S. Arrive in Pakistan, Minister Says

Twenty-two Iranian crew members from an oil tanker detained by the United States have arrived in Karachi, Pakistan, according to the Pakistani Foreign Minister, who stated coordination is underway with the Iranian embassy for their repatriation.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishak Dar announced that 22 Iranian crew members of an oil tanker, who were detained by the United States during a recent conflict, have arrived in Karachi. Dar further stated that Pakistan is coordinating with the Iranian embassy to facilitate the return of the freed Iranian crew. Al Arabiya television network claimed that the U.S. handed over the 22 Iranian nationals, crew of a seized oil tanker, to Pakistan, who then transferred them to Tehran. There has been no official statement from Iran regarding this development, and details such as the name of the oil tanker and the exact time and location of its seizure have not been disclosed.
