Light Aircraft Crashes into Beijing Skyscraper, Killing Pilot and Injuring 13

A single-engine light aircraft collided with the CITIC Tower, Beijing’s tallest building, on Saturday, resulting in the death of the pilot and injuries to thirteen individuals on the ground.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a light aircraft crashed into Beijing‘s tallest skyscraper, the CITIC Tower, also known as China Zun, resulting in the pilot’s death and injuries to thirteen others. The incident occurred on Saturday in the Chaoyang district of China’s capital. Local authorities confirmed that the injured are receiving medical treatment and an investigation into the cause of the crash is underway. The aircraft involved was a two-seater, single-engine sports plane. The 528-meter-tall CITIC Tower is a prominent landmark in Beijing’s central business district, attracting thousands of visitors daily. No further details regarding the cause of the accident were immediately released.
